Todd is the third son (#3, which he still responds to today) of an amazing upstate New York couple. Although born a Buckeye, Todd spent more of his youth in SC before following his brothers to Georgia Tech. Todd received his Bachelor of Science from the College of Architecture, which included spending his senior year in Paris, France. During that year, he became engaged and, after returning to the US, got married in a public square in Savannah, GA. Todd's oldest daughter graduated from Ohio State and his youngest daughter is attending UGA (as a Tech grad, not sure how that happened).
Todd started his architectural career with a focus on retail work, including shopping centers in Atlanta. He moved to Winston-Salem, NC and joined a firm providing roll-out work for BB&T. Todd added a local bank and Krispy Kreme to his clients and, eventually, moved over to the ownership side, accepting an international position with Krispy Kreme. After a few years, his role expanded to also include domestic design work. Todd joined Inspire Brands in Fall of 2018 spearheading the design team for Buffalo Wild Wings and Rusty Taco. More recently, he furthered the development of Pinkbox Doughnuts, in a Vice President capacity.
In Gary Clark Jr’s song, “When I’m Gone”, he sings the common phrase, “Been around the world and back”. This captures a lot of who Todd is - he has literally circled the globe three times and in both directions. Todd loves the variety of the people and culture, the food, the architecture, and the landscapes. Todd’s musical interests are widely varied as well. His playlist might include: Rodrigo y Gabriela, Nicho Hinojosa, Postmodern Jukebox, Metallica and Tash Sultana.
On the food front, Todd enjoys grilling on a Big Green Egg and Masterbuilt smoker whenever possible. Todd and his wife have grilled, baked, fried, and otherwise made over 1,800 new recipes during the past 13 years. And, Todd has the spreadsheet to prove it (like any good engineer would). In addition, Todd is a soccer fan and travels to matches whenever he can – World Cup 2026 is right around the corner.
